Luckily, we took our own camera, which means I actually have pictures and video to post!
The campout was Saturday through Tuesday, but Shane and I were only able to participate through Sunday night because of work. Even in that short time, we had lots of fun, including:
Bike rides around the loop
Sheriff Brody
Kite flying. Somehow, the wind would only blow long enough for them to get the kite out to the parking lot and stop as soon as they got it in the air. But Brody didn't seem to care...
Tin foil dinners (mine was chicken, peas, potatoes, and brown rice mixed with cream of chicken soup. Shane's was salmon, corn, green peppers, and brown rice. Both turned out great!)
A short-order cook staff (a.k.a. Roy and Tom Murphy) for breakfast--you name it, they made it!
Dutch oven german pancakes. I'll admit no one believed that Shane could do it, but they actually turned out pretty good (just really really thick).
Sleeping in Shane's truck tent, his favorite Christmas present ever (thanks Mom and Dad!)
Board games, card games, lots of Carrom (Tom brought two tables), and plenty of relaxation time.
Sarge came along, but had to be on a leash the whole time...
Many hours of rope-swinging
I have more videos of the kids and Amy on the swing, but they take SO LONG to load on Blogger, I don't think they'll make it. (If you want them Amy, let me know.)
Other (not pictured items) include escaping the heat, daily rainstorms, awesome meals, hot showers, smores around the campfire, and plenty of family time. Others went hiking, jeeping, shooting, and swimming, but we missed most of those activities. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!!
If you want more, see here for Amy's account (and more pictures) of the trip and here for Hilary's.

That was such a fun trip. Can't wait until next year. BUT I really wish that you would have put the other Jessica swing video on!
Hmmm...what's the OTHER jessica swing video? Sounds promising... I am glad I got to see some pictures of you! You can see your little baby bump, it's so cute! Yay!
